On Sunday 2 July Porsche Centre Leicester attended Rutland Polo Club's annual community polo event, the Findlay Cup. Passionate about being involved in our local community and raising money in aid of LOROS Hospice we were delighted to contribute to the sponsorship of the tournament through entrance fees and their charity auction, for which we donated an exclusive track day at Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
On display throughout the event were models from the Porsche range, a Panamera, 911 GTS and Macan, all of which attracted a lot of interest from the crowds. The highlight for Porsche Centre Leicester, however, was the moment our Porsche Macan was put to the test against a thoroughbred polo pony.
Polo ponies are renowned for their agility, speed, and sudden acceleration and so many thought the race was over before it began. As the crowd lined the edge of the pitch, and the whistle blew, the Macan shot off with incredible speed. The polo pony picked up the pace after a few moments, only to be defeated at the turning point. The Macan displayed tremendous agility, fulfilling a 180° turn to continue the battle and in spectacular style, raced ahead winning a surprising victory for Porsche Centre Leicester. As a worthy prize, we were given the privilege of throwing the ball in to start the chukka.
Our congratulations go to Lauren Stone who won the Porsche Centre Leicester Findlay Cup.

For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
