The customer racing vehicles from Porsche have given an impressive demonstration of their huge potential at numerous races in recent weeks. The 911 RSR, 911 GT3 R and 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport have been winning all over the world.
Most notable successes were with the new 911 GT3 R at the season-opening round of the Blancpain GT Series in Italy - a sensational debut for the new Dinamic Motorsport customer squad, and at the GT World Challenge Asia, with a major triumph for customer team Absolute racing in the second race.
The 911 GT3 R triumphs didn't stop there - on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, Porsche's customer teams again underlined this car's strengths, crossing the finish line at the VLN season-opener in second place. Only 5.486 seconds separated the two French works drivers Frédéric Makowieki and Patrick Pilet from victory in the Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by Manthey Racing.
As for the new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, it dominated the Pirelli GT4 America Sprint Series event at Long Beach, with Porsche customer team TRG. Against a stunning backdrop and on a very special racetrack, Spencer Pumpelly secured first place.
And finally, the Porsche 911 RSR scored a podium spot at the first round of the 2019 European Le Mans Series (ELMS). After such a successful series of races for Porsche customers, we can’t wait to follow future events.
